Phil Conner

Phil’s career in the UK energy industry spans more than 30 years, 25 of these with majors BP, Conoco and Shell.

He has extensive experience in delivering engineering and operations excellence and projects/turnarounds within joint venture-owned assets for UK onshore and offshore operations.

Phil spent 20 years with BP, initially in the chemical division, before moving to the E&P division where he held the positions of utilities area engineer and ETAP platform turnaround manager, and Erskine coordinator and ELE turnaround manager.

He went on to become onshore site manager at the CATS terminal on Teesside before progressing to the role of asset engineering support team leader, accountable for managing process safety, management of change and technical competency.

Prior to joining Kellas Midstream, he was discipline engineering manager for BP’s UKCS midstream business, providing support for operations at the CATS, Sullom Voe, and Forties Pipeline System, and all BP-operated pipelines.

Phil is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and holds a first class honors and Master of Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton.
