Teesside University students visit CATS

Our valued partnership with Teesside University is now in its fifth year, where we fund clean energy scholarships to help talented individuals gain the knowledge and skills for a future engineering career in energy.

The programme helps remove financial barriers to learning and can make a huge difference to a student’s studies and university experience.

Each year we offer the students the opportunity to visit our CATS terminal located in the heart of industrial Teesside, so they can experience critical energy infrastructure first-hand and find out about CATS’ vital role in the UK’s energy system, heating millions of homes and fuelling industries across the country.

Last week we welcomed four of our scholars to the facility – two first year students, one second year student, and an MSc student – along with a member of the Teesside University staff, giving them a site tour and answering lots of great questions along the way. It’s always a pleasure to speak to such enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in the UK’s evolving energy sector.
