Volunteering at Christmas with the Instant Neighbour Giving Tree appeal

Instant Neighbour Aberdeen's Giving Tree appeal is a long-running community initiative, supported by local businesses and the general public, that helps ensure children and young people across Aberdeen City & Shire receive a Christmas gift, especially those whose families are experiencing financial challenges.

Each year, the charity collects gift tags that represent individual children and places them on 'Giving Trees' in workplaces, shops and public spaces. Members of the public then choose a tag, buy a suitable present - such as toys, clothes, books, and arts and crafts - and return it unwrapped to Instant Neighbour, where volunteers sort and distribute the gifts in time for Christmas.

For the third year, Kellas volunteers were once again eager to help out, and went along in groups to sort donations and pack gifts for distirbution to children of all ages in the local community.
